Ruben (Bo) E. Long of Tarboro, NC passed away on Sunday, March 20th, 2022.

He is the first son born to the late Allen and Addie Roberson Long of Hobgood, NC.

Preceding him were his sisters Mabel Long Mabry of Maryland, Betty Jean Long Hillas of Hudson, Florida; brother's Claude Long of Chesapeake, VA and Jim Long of Arizona.

Bo learned his carpentry skills from his father Allen Long. His father taught all of his sons the skills of construction as the years progressed. Bo later went into business for his self in the Roofing Business. There were times when all of the Long brothers would work together to build homes or remodel a home. Especially if they were building for their own families.

During his life he enjoyed fishing in Bellamy's Pond, one of his favorite places. He enjoyed spending time with his nephews and nieces in their younger years; teaching them how to ride bikes, fishing and the trades of roofing construction.

Most of his life was spent in his home in Whitakers just enjoying the country life he lived.

He leaves behind his siblings: Hazel Long Hale of Enfield, Bobby Long of Tarboro, Paul Long of Chesapeake, VA, Henry (Faye) Long of Tarboro, George (Linda) Long of Tarboro, Joe (Cindy) Long of Whitakers and Debbie Fox of Tarboro; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March, 30, 2022 at Carlisle Funeral Home with Reverend Henry Long officiating.
