Ruth W. James, 94, passed away Monday, December 19, 2022.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 11:00am at Carlisle Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Clemmons officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery, Pinetops, NC.

Ruth was born in Edgecombe County to David and Etta Price Webb, August 6, 1928. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Ottis James; son, Ronnie James and sister, Mary Bryant Baker.

She is survived by her loving family, including daughters, Linda Tyson and her husband, Marvin Keith Tyson, Cathy Whitehead and her husband, Collin Whitehead. Sons, Norman James and his wife, Joyce, and David James and his wife, Deneese. Grandchildren, Ron, Beth, Robbie, Mike, Jamie, Chris, Nicole, Amanda, and Dustin. Great-grandchildren, Ellie, Bryston, Dillian, Macklyn, Langdon, Kimber, Grayson, Kaitlyn, Adel, Noah, Mabel, James, Riley, and Erin.

The family will receive friends at Carlisle Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 am.
