Ruth Hazel Padgett, 93, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, February 14th, 2022.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 17th at the Padgett Family Cemetery in Mildred with Reverend David Wilson officiating.

Hazel was born on October 17, 1928 in Tarboro to the late George and Mamie Padgett. She lived her entire life in Mildred on the Padgett Farm. She had a great sense of humor and a beautiful smile. Anyone that knew her, loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Russell Peaden and granddaughter, Jennifer Rossi.

She is survived by her loving sister and caretaker Lela Peaden and their furry companion Roscoe.

She is also survived by her daughter, Betty Forrest and a son, James Padgett, 3 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
