SALLIE RUTH FARNER

Sallie Ruth Farner passed into her Savior's arms on Tuesday, Feb 13th.

She was an active, life-long member of Pinetops Baptist Church until moving to the Albemarle. While working, she was the secretary and business manager at Edgecombe Casket Company.

Mrs. Farner at 96 years old was preceded in death by husbands, Joe Turner Walston and Theodore (Ted) Farner; her son, Reggie Walston; sisters, Leona Kling and Elizabeth Cole and brother, Lewis Morgan.

She is survived by nephews, Phillip Kling of Mt. Joy, Pa., Glenn Kling of Wilmington, Timothy Cole of Washington DC; nieces, Tonya Engles of Goldsboro, and Sally Lou Burnette, Sharon Spain, and Shelly Greene, all of Tarboro. In addition, there was a special family relationship with Ted's grand-daughter, Debra Saunders of Voorhees, NJ; and cousin Joanne Bass of Raleigh.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2 pm at Pinetops Baptist with burial directly after in the church cemetery. The family will receive visitors 1 hour prior to the service. Pastor Billy Crabtree will preside.
