Sally Whitley Proctor, 85, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered, "Come to me".

Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00pm on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Carlisle Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11:00am on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Carlisle Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Edgecombe Memorial Park.

Sally was born in Edgecombe County on February 3rd, 1940, to the late Joseph and Lucille Whitley. She enjoyed gardening, time spent with her family, river vacations, gospel music, electronics and of course QVC.

Sally began working at Black & Decker in 1970 and retired in 1992 where she enjoyed working for many years and made great friends who became like family.

She is preceded in death by her husband Archie Douglas Proctor of 62 years, sister Ann Keel, brother Joseph Whitley. She is survived by her daughter Betty Lou (David) Trevathan, Son Archie (Robin) Proctor Grandchildren Brandon (Catherine) Trevathan, Christal Trevathan, Jamie (Cindy) Proctor, Kristen Ruffin, Great Grandchildren Kristoper (Michaela) Kalob, Lizzy, Colton, Archer Great Great Grandchildren Ava, Kylie, Payton Sister Betsy Webb Brother Allen Ray (Sherrill) Whitley Special Brother in law Jimmy Proctor & sister in law Linda Howlett.

The Family will receive friends at her home 3827 Howard Avenue Ext Tarboro.
