Samantha Dawn Hollis, 22, passed away on May 15, 2021.

Samantha, "Sam" was born in Edgecombe County on July 6, 1998 to Randy and Misty Hollis. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, JR Hollis.

She is survived by her loving family which includes her mother, Misty Avery Byrum (Bobby), father Randy Hollis, grandmother Peggy Hollis, grandfather James Avery (Linda), great-grandmother Lorraine Avery, uncle Daniel Hollis (Tricia), brother Jamie Hollis, step-brother Nick Lamm, and host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Sam was the little sister that took care of big brother and everyone else. Her and Jamie were the best of friends spending hours talking, playing video games, and cooking together. Sam and uncle Daniel often enjoyed the art of arguing back and forth with each other. She was passionate about animals especially her two fur babies, Sandy and Bell. One of her favorite hobbies was fishing whether it be on a boat or on the peer and she will be missed by her special fishing partner, William Allen Scott.  Sam will be missed by many but never forgotten.

A private graveside will be held at a later date.
