*The family of Doug Walters are having a memorial service for him on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 4:30 P.M. at the Pinetops Cemetery in Pinetops.

Doug passed away on October 15, 2024, at the Hospice House in Smithfield, NC.

He was the son of Mary and Sam Walters. He is survived by brother, Rufus Walters (Susie) of Crisp and Pat Walters of Macclesfield. He leaves behind several nieces and nephew, Chris (Brenda), Jennifer (Travis), Brian (Heather), Kailey, Brilynn,  Samantha, Ella, and Morgan.
