Samuel "Sammy" Nash Summerlin, Jr., 70, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam & Goldie Summerlin; wife of nearly 30 years, Patsy Summerlin; father & mother in law, GC & Elizabeth Storms; sister in law, Debbie Morgan; brothers in law, Ronald Earl & Billy Ray Storms & Gene Mosely.

Sammy was a hard working farmer his whole life & did all he could to provide for his family. He was a simple man that liked Nascar Racing, loved The Lord, family & life in general. He lost the love of his life, Patsy on April 15th, 2005 & had eagerly awaited seeing her again one day. On Sunday, his faith in Jesus became sight & he was finally reunited with Patsy!

He left behind to cherish his memories his daughters, Hope Keel (Dan) & Patricia "Tricia" Summerlin (Daniel); son, Jason Summerlin; grand daughters, Chelsey Storms & Ashley Keel; great grand son, Aiden Harrell; brothers, Bruce (Carol) & George; sister, Elizabeth (Rick) Shivers; sisters in law, Libby Williams (Mickey) & Gloria Jean Mosely; along with many nieces & nephews.

The family will have a private memorial at a later date.
