Samuel Dean Vick, 60, passed peacefully into the arms of God on Wednesday, November 22, 2017.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 25, at 2:30 p.m. in Edgecombe Memorial Park Cemetery with the Reverend Danny Harris officiating. The family will be receiving friends and relatives on Saturday from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Carlisle Funeral Home.

Sammy was a thankful and humble person. Even the smallest gift or service to him did not go unnoticed or unappreciated. He always expressed his thanks. He loved and believed in the Lord and thanked God every morning when he opened his eyes. Sammy will be missed dearly.

Sammy is survived by his loving family which includes his mother, Lillie Vick; sisters, Marilyn Dunning and husband, Ronald, Annette Mayo and husband, Charles; Janie Dail and husband, Andy; nieces and nephew, Adrienne, Angela, Ashley, Susan, Daniel.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
