Sandra Howard Pilgreen passed away on October 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Sandra was born on January 18, 1943, to the late Norman and Maude Howard. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Sandra valued her family more than anything. Her special touch and the many years of care she gave to those she loved will be lasting memories to her family.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her sister Anne Morgan.

Surviving Sandra is her loving husband of 66 years, Jake Pilgreen; son, Jay Pilgreen (Gina); daughter, Michelle Tremayne (Gary); grandchildren, Bryan Robertson (Emily), Jeff Robertson, Caroline Collins (Adam), Hannah Roupp (Chase); great grandchildren, Anna and Willow Robertson, Abigail and Ellie Collins, Payton and Mary Parker Roupp.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Tarboro Church of God. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 pm, with interment at Edgecombe Memorial Park immediately following.

The family wishes to sincerely thank the nurses and aides of the Hospice House of Wilson for their daily care of Sandra during her final days.
