We are saddened to learn there is a SCAM going around impacting surrounding funeral homes and families. Carlisle Funeral Home has not experienced any problems as of yet, but we want to warn our community and make you aware of the signs and what to look for:

The caller is reaching out to families that have just lost a loved one and finalized services. They call after hours, the day before services are scheduled and inform you they are from the funeral home and insist you owe more money for additional services. Families are being pressured to pay these extra charges with a credit card or arrangements will be cancelled.

Carlisle Funeral Home or any other funeral home will NEVER call a family at night asking for payment. Financial preparations are usually handled the day of arrangements at the funeral home. If you ever receive a phone call that YOU DON'T feel comfortable with, please contact our office immediately at 252-823-0211.

We pray this doesn't affect us, but if you have any questions or concern please don't hesitate to reach out to your funeral director or law enforcement.
