Scott Allan Jones 50, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2018, 2:00pm at St. Mary Episcopal Church Cemetery, Speed, N.C. with Rev. Noah Howard officiating.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 3:30 Pm at the Beddingfield High School, Wilson NC.

Scott enjoyed sports, coaching, writing sports articles and photography for the Wilson Daily Times. He also enjoyed teaching English and being a mentor to the students at Beddingfield High School, Wilson, N.C. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine F. Jones; his favorite granny, Mable Jones and husband Eben, a nephew, Thomas Parrisher.

He is survived by his loving family, including his daughter, Kenyu Jones; parents, Grayson and Nancy Jones; sister, Chrystal Joyner and her husband, Mark; brother, Joey Jones; nephews, Christopher Parrisher, Connor Jones and Jace Jones; and very special friends, Glenn Reeves, Tom Ham, Bill Robinett and Charles Mills

The family will receive friends at Carlisle Funeral Home in Tarboro on Tuesday from 6:00 8:00pm.
