Shelby Jean "Sis" Garris Holland 83 passed away Friday, March 26, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC

Graveside service will be held Sunday, March 28, 2021, 2:00 pm at Edgecombe Memorial Park with Pastor Chris Minton officiating. Family will meet with friends following the service at the cemetery.

Sis was born in Nash County to George Elias "Bud" Jr and Sallie Smith Adkins Garris on January 31, 1938.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Belinda Holland Whitaker, her siblings, George Garris and wife, Magnolia, Pattie Ellen Garris, Louise Garris Whitley and husband, Ben, Mary Frances "Duck" Garris, Catherine Garris Collins and husband, Charles Henry, Margaret Garris Davis and husband Dave, Randolph Garris and wife, Ellen Louise and Henry Garris.

She is survived by her loving family, including her husband, Jesse Ray Holland; son, Jay Holland and wife, Patsy; grandchildren, Steven Cannon and wife, Kim, Brooks Whitaker, Nick Cannon, Parker Cannon Davis, and husband, Will; great grandchildren, Kyle Cannon, Hunter Cannon, Emma Rae Cannon, Ryder Cannon, Rhett Cannon, Nellie Catherine Davis, Pamela Joe Davis, and W. B. Davis; sister-in-law, Pat Garris, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
