Sherrill Kay Pittman, 71, of Littleton, North Carolina passed away peacefully Sunday, August 4, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Hazel Pittman. Sherrill grew up in Macclesfield, graduated from South Edgecombe High School and later from East Carolina University. She worked many years at Edgecombe Community College as the campus librarian, where she later retired. She is survived by her son, Shane Braxton (wife, Jordan), daughter, Skylar Webb (fiancé, John Dixon) and grandchildren, Knox Braxton, Nash Braxton and Jeremiah Dixon. The family will gather with friends on August 8 from 6-8 p.m. at Carlisle Funeral Home in celebration of her life. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
