Shirley Ann Harrell Bryant, 84, passed away on September 5, 2024.

Shirley was born on July 2, 1940, to Floyd Thomas and Alberta Williamson Harrell.

Shirley retired from W. M. Green as a secretary and bookkeeper and W. M Green and Company after many years.

She enjoyed having Sunday night dinners with her family and making her famous fudge for holidays.  Shirley, also known as "MAMA", loved spending time with all the children teaching them and making memories.  Her brothers and sisters and their families also had a special place in her heart.  Through the years, she learned to make blankets and shared them with many to cherish.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, David Earl "Bill" Bryant; brothers, Mack "Buddy" Harrell, Eugene Harrell, and Floyd H. Harrell; and sisters, Sadie Lewis, Fanny Williamson, Sarah Williamson, Mavis Currin, Helen Skinner, Mattie Ruth Bullock, and Gladys Skinner.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Vickie Rogister and husband, David; granddaughter, Kelli Peel and husband, Joe; grandson, Bryant Rogister and wife, Dana; great grandchildren, Kinsey Peel, Reagan Peel, Bryson Rogister and Jackson Rogister all of Bethel; and sisters, Louvenia Stancill of Greenville, Florence Shapiro of Batavia, IL, Marie Cobb, and Betty Moore and husband, W. C. of Bethel.

Donations may be made in memory of Shirley to Hobgood Charter School Athletic Program.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Carlisle Funeral Home 5:30 – 7:30 PM.

A Graveside Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Bethel Cemetery.
