Stephen "Steve" George Rose, Sr., 61, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Carlisle Funeral Home with the Rev. Sammy Wood officiating.

Steve proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He owned and operated A&R Wrecker Service for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Burnice Rose and Minnie Ellrod Rose.

He is survived by his loving family which includes his wife, Janie Taylor Rose; son Stephen Rose, Jr.; sisters, Carolyn R. Wagner and husband William, Vickie R. Pittman and husband Dean; mother-in-law, Dorothy Taylor; sister-in-law, Gail Holloman; nieces, Crystal Brown, Sherry Bridgers; and nephew, Jackson Norris.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00-2:00pm at Carlisle Funeral Home and other times at the home of Vicky Pittman, 1055 West St. James St., Tarboro.
