Susan Strickland Owens 89, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 25 at Prodigy in Tarboro, NC.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 27 from 12:00-1:00 PM. Funeral services will  follow at Carlisle's Funeral Home, Tarboro, NC at 1:00 PM with Pastor Stephen Duncan officiating.  All other times friends may visit at the home of her daughter Jennifer Owens Harrell, 8048 Glover Road, Fountain, NC.

Susan is survived by a daughter Jennifer Owens Harrell. Brother Alton Strickland (Doris) and step sister Carol P. Webb. Along with many other nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents Lawton and Mamie Webb Strickland, Step Mom Minnie Strickland, Husband (RB)  Robert Bruce Sr., Stillborn son, Robert Bruce Jr.,  Son in Law Donald Max Harrell, Grand Dog Katie Harrell, two brothers, Kenneth Strickland (Ellen) and Billy Strickland, two sisters Margie Eatmon and Catherine Bridgers, Step sister Cleo Webb, a nephew Alan Strickland and great nephew Kelly Strickland.
