Sylvia Ann Armstrong passed away on August 28, 2020. She was born June 27,1939 to Vernell and Forrest Armstrong, Sr. She is preceded in death by her sister, Lucy Rose (Sandy) Taylor, her brothers, Forrest(Beulah) Armstrong Jr. and Ernest Armstrong and her devoted Aunts Willie Lewis and Mary Carlisle. She graduated from Beaufort High School in 1958 and enrolled in Norfolk Nursing Hospital. After graduation she returned to Tarboro and began her career as an X-ray Technician at Heritage Hospital. She became certified in nuclear x-ray. During her career she made many lifelong friends. Family was always the closest to her heart along with her favorite animals including horses, cats and dogs. A quote from her high school annual sums her up very well. "The least in her is the best in others" She leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will always cherish her memory. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of you who have cared for her at Edgecombe Health and Rehab and The Brian Center.

Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 10:00 am, a graveside service will be held at Edgecombe Memorial Park in Tarboro, N.C. to remember her life.
