Sylvia Pollard Simpson, 77, passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00Pm on Sunday, April 22 at Carlisle Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Clemmons and Chaplain Telley Penderlucas officiating. Burial will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park.

She was preceded in death by a son, Lanie Simpson; parents, Orlando and Elsie Pollard; sister, Janice Strickland; and brother, Pete Pollard.

Sylvia is survived by her loving family which includes her husband of 57 years, Pastor Sonny Simpson; daughter, Angela Johnson and husband Ricky; grandsons, Wesley Johnson Sr. and wife Jessica, Brooks Johnson; granddaughter, Crystal Teel and husband Tre; great-grandchildren, Wes Johnson, Jacob Johnson, and Linsey Johnson.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday at Carlisle Funeral Home from 2:00-3:00pm.

Flowers are welcome but memorial donations can be made to Acorn Hill Baptist Church, 246 Acorn Hill Road, Tarboro, NC 27886 in memory of Sylvia.
