Tempie Ann Brake Fuller, 81, of Dortches, NC passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 9 at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church Rocky Mount.

Mrs. Fuller, a graduate of Red Oak School and Atlantic Christian College, taught Biology starting at South Edgecombe High School and retiring from SouthWest Edgecombe High School. She was an active member in the Gamma Lambda chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma International Society for Key Women Educators.

Miss Tempie, as she was affectionately known in the community, had a true servant's heart supporting many community organizations. She was a faithful member of Pinetops Presbyterian Church and First Presbyterian Church Rocky Mount where she served as a deacon, an elder, and on numerous church committees. Miss Tempie was an avid fan of ACC sports, always cheering for the NC State Wolfpack.

Mrs. Fuller is predeceased by her husband Dr. Hartwell H. Fuller Jr. She is survived by her daughters Christie Fuller Sondergard and husband Brett of Dortches and Elizabeth Fuller Murray of Leland; sisters Jane Reynolds of Belvoir and Linda Warren of Dortches; grandchildren Owen Sondergard and Emily Sondergard; many nieces and nephews and beloved first cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dr. Hartwell H. Fuller, Jr. Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund at Edgecombe Community College or Presbyterian Women (write in memory of Tempie Fuller in the memo line) and mail to First Presbyterian Church Rocky Mount, 153N Church Street, Rocky Mount 27804.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Lacy Fellowship Hall and on Sunday and Monday at the home of Christie Sondergard at 5947 Brake Road, Rocky Mount 27804 (Dortches).
