Thaddeus "Rudolph" Wallace, 89, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
Visitation will be at 1:00 - 2:00 PM on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Carlisle Funeral Home with the Funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Carlisle Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Duncan officiating the service. Burial will follow at Macclesfield Cemetery.
Rudolph proudly served as a dedicated member of the Macclesfield Fire Department for many years and was also part of Edgecombe County law enforcement. He devoted over 40 years of his life to working at the local gas company, where his strong work ethic and reliability were deeply valued. A man of unwavering faith and loyalty, Rudolph was wholeheartedly devoted to his family, his church family, and his many friends. Known for his warm smile and kind heart, he never met a stranger and made everyone feel like they belonged.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Thad and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Wallace; his wife, Sally Wallace; and brothers, Douglas Wallace, GC Wallace, and John Rubin Wallace.
Rudolph is survived by his sisters, Meredith Harrell (Eddie) and Sandra K. Ellis; brother, Dwight Wallace (Becky); nieces, Kristy Barnhill, Gina Bridgers, and Kim Parker (Richard); nephews, George and Keith Wallace; and many great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Webbs Chapel Baptist Church.
