Mr. Thomas Elton Johnson, age 78 of Tarboro, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Betty LaRuth Nunnery Johnson, his mother and father Hattie Berline and Thomas C. Johnson, grandchildren Sharon D. Rawls and Kasey C. Andrews.

Tommy is survived by his daughters Betty L. Sullivan and husband Kelvin, Tammy J. Andrews, Angela Armstrong and husband Henry, Denise Hobbs and husband Dennis, grandchildren Amanda Andrews and husband Allen, Ashley Hall and husband Marshall, Nicholas Andrews, Catherine Armstrong, Chelsea Steadman and husband Blake, Amy Hobbs and Ben Rawls, great-grandchildren Mason, Kasen, Gracen, Estela, Lily, Chloe and a friend Mildred Aycock. Special fur companion, Beaufort.

The family will receive friends at Carlisle Funeral Home on Wednesday night from the hours of 7 to 8:30 PM.

A service will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 4:00 PM in the Mausoleum at Edgecombe Memorial Park.
