Thomas L. "Pee Wee" Pittman, 91, passed away at his home on Monday, February 13, 2023.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Carlisle Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Bryan officiating. Burial will follow at Edgecombe Memorial Park.

Pee Wee retired as a superintendent from Barnhill Construction Company after 38 years.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents who raised him, Mary A. and L. Turner Jones; his parents Jasper and Elizabeth Pittman of Johnston County; wife of 56 years, Josephine Pittman; daughter, Debbie Elizabeth Pittman Mears; son, Oral Thomas Pittman; brother, Leon Norris; and sister, Alice Woodall.

He is survived by his children, Teresa P. Baker and husband, Jesse R. Baker, Sr., Jason J. Pittman (Linda), and Stacey L. Pittman; grandchildren, Jesse R. Baker, Jr., Amanda P. Pace (Kevin Pace), Charles D. Mears (Nikki Mears), Thomas C. Pittman, Jennie P. Hathaway, Jason G. Pittman (Lisa Pittman); great-grandchildren, Makayla Mears, Tyler Mears, Aubrey Pace, Reagan Pace, Abigail Pittman, Khloe Pittman, Cameron Hathaway, McKenzie Hathaway, Stella Biddle, Jackson Pittman, Lily Pittman, and Raven Pittman; brother, James Pittman; daughter-in-law, Cindy C. Pittman; son-in-law, David A. Mears; sister-in-law, Alice Norris; and dear friend, Rose Barfield.

Visitation with the family will be from 10:00–11:00 AM on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Carlisle Funeral Home.

The family will gather at the home of his daughter Teresa P. Baker, 283 Lakeview Drive, Tarboro, NC 27886 after the funeral service.
