Tyron Dennis Ziegenhagen, 58, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital due to complications of heat stroke.

Ty was born on October 6, 1965, in Rochester, Minnesota. He graduated from Mayo High School in Rochester.

Tyron later moved to Florida where he worked for a canning company helping with harvesting. Then he worked for a construction company where he operated a backhoe, and later moved to Tarboro and worked at a dry cleaner's for Wyagt and Marie. Ty also worked at a car dealership doing the maintenance for the cars in the car lot.

He spent a lot of time at the Tarboro Community Out-Reach, where people there said he was thoughtful, grateful, and helpful.

Tyron is survived by his parents, Dennis and Judy Ziegenhagen; brother, Marc Ziegenhagen; and sister, Jill Kanestadt.
