Vonnie Purvis Blevins, 56, passed away peacefully Monday, February 21, 2022, at Vidant Medical Center in Tarboro NC surrounded by her family.

She was born on July 8,1965, daughter of William Jackson Purvis & Linda Smith Purvis in Washington NC.  She is survived by her mother, Linda Purvis of Harrisburg, NC, her brothers, William Michael Purvis and his wife Donna of Harrisburg, NC, Phillip Purvis and his wife Regina of Harrisburg, NC, Harry Purvis and his wife Debbie of Greenville, NC, her sister, Mary Deakle of Greenville, NC.

Vonnie was a proud mother of her two boys, Jonathan Walton & Jeremy Walton of Tarboro, NC and her two grandchildren, Jackson Walton & Madison Walton. She worked as a medical coder for about 30 years. She was heavily involved in church and loved spending time with her friends.  She was very big hearted and loved helping others. She also enjoyed playing cards, board games, watching football (Dallas Cowboys) & action movies.

Visitation services will be held at Carlisle Funeral Home in Tarboro on Friday, February 25th from 6 pm to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 26th at 11 am. Graveside service will follow at 1 pm at Pamlico Memorial Gardens in Washington, NC.
