William Bennett "Bill" Taylor, age 70, passed away on June 16, 2020.

He was born on November 29, 1949 in Edgecombe County to Bennie Bryan and Mary Louise Hales Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, James Albert "Jimmy" Bullard.

Bill served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the USS America. He retired from CSX Transportation after 35 years of service.

He is survived by his sisters, Lynn Taylor Batten of Scotland Neck and Teresa Taylor Bullard and her husband Al of Rocky Mount and his niece Anna Catherine Bullard and her fiancé Tyler Hudson of Wilson.

A graveside service will be held at Pineview Cemetery in Rocky Mount on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will follow the service at the graveside.
