William "Bill" Henry Bailey, Jr., 78, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022.

William was born on May 28, 1944 to the late William Henry Bailey and Bertha Jane Boykin Bailey. He honorably served in the United States Marine Corps.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 2, in Greenwood Cemetery (Military Honors) with the Reverend Johnathan Taylor officiating.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his loving wife of 38 years, Susan Bailey; sisters Barbara B. Long, Alice R. Bailey; brothers, James A. Bailey "Jim", Thomas B. Bailey, Joseph H. Bailey, Robert L. Bailey, George A. Bailey, John R. Bailey; maternal grandparents, Dewey Boykin and Alice P. Boykin.

He is survived by his family which includes his son Billy Bailey, of Burr Ridge, Il; step-daughter Amie Zinn and husband David Zinn and grandson Julius, of Morgantown, WV; brothers Ronald E. Bailey and wife Carolyn, of Tarboro, Richard W. Bailey and wife Shirley, of Elizabethtown, NC; sister Linda B. Monroe, of Bakersfield, CA; step-brother Stanley Bailey; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00-8:00 PM at Carlisle Funeral Home.
