On February 14, 2020, William Jackson Purvis (Billy), 84, went home to be with our Lord and Savior. He was the son of Zachary and Carrie Dell Purvis (deceased), loving husband of Linda Smith Purvis of Conetoe, NC for 62 years, devoted and loving father of Mike Purvis (Donna), Phil Purvis (Regina) Harry Purvis (Debbie) Vonnie Purvis, and Mary Purvis; proud and caring grandfather to eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Billy was born in North Carolina and raised along with his 3 brothers; Davis Earl Purvis (Buck)(deceased) Rufus Nathan Purvis (Wanda) and Bobby Purvis ( Becky) and sister, Norma Davis (deceased). Billy was an excellent repairman, especially mowers and enjoyed this as a hobby into his retirement age. Many will remember him from Black and Decker (Tarboro)  where he worked until retirement. He was a faithful servant of the Lord and will be dearly missed.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 20th at Carlisle Funeral Home (Tarboro, NC) from 12:00 (Noon) to 2:00 PM. Service starts at 2:00 PM.
