IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William Brandon
Morris
July 22, 1976 – March 19, 2024
William Brandon Morris passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.
Brandon was a hard-working man who took pride in his work. He was a highly skilled and naturally talented carpenter, who could be counted on if you needed something repaired or built from the ground up. He could do it all. He was always a very loving and kindhearted soul who would give anyone the shirt off his back, as well as his last dollar. He loved his family and friends. His granddaughter brought him so much joy and his eyes would light up every time they were together. He enjoyed fishing, the beach, the mountains, cooking, playing pool, cracking jokes, and spending time with those he loved. He will be missed tremendously and loved forever.
Brandon was born on July 22, 1976, in Edgecombe County, to the late Linwood W. Morris and Ellen Pitt Morris. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kayla Sue Morris; brothers, Charlie and Chris Morris; and nephew, Wade Morris.
William is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Tant (Dalton) of Bailey, NC; his son, Austin Morris of Bailey, NC; and his only grandchild, whom he adored more than anything, Savannah Rae Tant of Bailey. He also leaves behind three sisters, Merry Askew (Danny) of Macclesfield, Sheila Morris of Macclesfield, and Emily Morris (Gary) of Macclesfield; nieces, Marina Lovitt, Leslie Morris, Brittany Askew, Angela Askew, Chyann Harris, and Tiffany Morris; nephew, T.J. Lovitt; companion, Tammy Holliday and her granddaughter, Lyla Mae Jones, of Bailey; and many special cousins, extended family members and close friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Carlisle Funeral Home, Tarboro, NC. Visitation will be Sunday, March 24, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home and other times at the home of Merry Askew.
