IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William Forest
Myers
June 25, 1947 – November 22, 2024
William Forrest Myers ,77, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024.
William was born in Edgecombe County to the late Lillie Mae Merrit Myers and George Edward Myers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Merrit and sister, Dorothy Jones. His sisters, Nancy Williams, Deborah Savage and brother, Robert Merrit, all of Tarboro, are left to continue without him.
William became the uncle to many nieces and nephews and acted as a father figure to them all. He won the hearts of Brenda Jenkins of Tennessee, James Merrit of Robersonville, and especially of Christopher and Jesse Williams "the twins", and had a special place in his heart for Danny Andrews.
William had two loves of his life, Annie Webb and Angela Andrews. He would always say that he loved only two women in his life, losing Annie in the 1960's and Angela in 2017. With Angela, he became the ultimate family man and raised two children, Harry Cloeman Lewis III and Amanda Dawn Myers. William did everything possible and worked hard to provide. He spent long hours doing what he enjoyed, and that was agriculture. His children gave him the Grandpa title. He loved his grandchildren more than anything.
Harry and Danielle Monroe gave Yuri Monrow, 13, who resides in Vermont. Harry also had Leah Everley-Diane Lewis, 20, of New York.
Amanda and Dustin Casper gave him Jessica LeAnn Rogerson, 16, and Caydence Hope Casper, 12. William spent many hours with these live-in granddaughters. If anyone could be wrapped around a finger, it was him with them.
William Myers enjoyed the simplest things in life. He endured many hardships and taught people that you have to keep going and just do what you have to…stay tough.
