Mr. William Bennett Wooten of Macclesfield passed away on March 13, 2018 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

He was a lifelong farmer in the Macclesfield area.

He was preceded in death by his mother Mamie Varnell Wooten; father Julius Robert Wooten, Sr.; and Brother Ronald Wooten.

William is survived by his wife Shelby Harrell Wooten of the home, two brothers Julius Robert Wooten, Jr. and wife Jean of Pinetops, and Travis Wooten and wife Peggy of Macclesfield; his special fur baby Butch; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of William's Life will be held in the chapel of Carlisle Funeral Home on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Ralph Dawson Webb and Rev. Ray Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in Macclesfield Cemetery, Macclesfield, NC.

The family will receive friends Thursday night at the funeral home from the hours of 6 Pm until 8 Pm and other times at the home.
