Wilson " Pete" Edmondson, 84, passed away at the Durham VA on November 13, 2020.

Wilson, affectionately called Pete, was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and proud Veteran. He was a member of Pinetops Baptist Church.

He was born in Edgecombe County in 1936 to Wilson & Mazzie Lee Edmondson.  Pete loved Old Sparta and lived there most of his life until the Flood of 1999.  He loved cooking for others, fishing, going to Flea Markets and being outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, William "Chad" Webb.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sylvia Edmondson.  His son Perry Edmondson (Kaye), his daughters Sharon Edmondson and Angela Webb (Mark), his brother Curtis Edmondson (Karen), his grandchildren Stephanie Batts (Paul), Felecia Webb (Jett), Martin Allen, Thomas Edmondson & Kristin Barnes (Patrick) and 5 great-grandchildren Taylor and Jonathan Batts, Blaize and Tallon Webb and Levi Barnes.

A graveside service with full Military Honors will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 11:00 at Edgecombe Memorial Park on Highway 258 with Billy Crabtree officiating.

Family will welcome visitors anytime at the home of Sylvia Edmondson.

In Lieu of flowers donation can be made to the Memorial Fund at Pinetops Baptist Church
