IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wilson Frank
Hale
September 12, 1938 – January 19, 2024
Mr. Wilson Frank Hale, age 85 of Tarboro, NC, departed from this earth to his Heavenly home on January 19th, 2024. He was surrounded by his loving family at home.
He was born in Scotland Neck on September 12th, 1938, and joined the Navy in 1956. After completing his service, he lived in Portsmouth VA before moving to Tarboro and beginning a career at Long Manufacturing. Frank was a loyal employee, working over 40 years before retiring. After a short stint of retirement, he found it was not for him and took a job at B & G Fitness Center, until he was hired to drive the Shuttle at Doug Henry Ford. Frank loved this job, because he loved meeting people and if you needed a ride from the Dealership, then you had a conversation with Frank. In which he probably told you about his family. He loved his family and was a devoted Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Brother. Frank loved fishing and Nascar racing. He loved his friends, church family and his Pastor, Johnny Hendricks.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Wilson Hale and Annie Moore Hale and sister, Esther Duke. Frank is survived by his children, Keith "Moose" Hale (Vickie) and Jeannie Hale (Kenneth Cobb). Grandchildren, David Boyd (Ashley), Nicole Doughtie (Dusty), Miranda Hale and Will Hale. Great Grandchildren, Kegan and Karter Boyd, Katelyn, Karly and Brody Hannah, Wade, Jace and Baby Doughtie (on the way, whom dad named "Grace"). Sisters, Peggy Hayes (Charles) Connie Finch (Butch) and Annette Miller (Dennis) and many nephews and nieces.
Arrangements will be held on Saturday January 27th, 2024. Visitation will be from 11 am – 1 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 1 pm and both will be held at Penders Missionary Baptist Church 3246 Howard Avenue Ext. Tarboro, NC 27886. Officiated by Pastor Johnny Hendricks and speakers Butch Finch and Keith "Moose" Hale. Burial will follow at Nahalah Presbyterian Church located at 11890 Highway 258 South, Scotland Neck 27874. The family will receive friends and family at the home of Jeannie Hale 2004 Lydia Drive, Tarboro.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Penders Chapel Missionary Baptist Benevolence Fund or to the Gideons to purchase Bible's in Frank's name.
