Mr. Amos Kinchin Harrell Jr, of Pinetops passed away on July 26, 2020 in Vidant Edgecombe Hospital.
He served in the US Army and was a member of Pinetops Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board and was a member of the Choir.
He was preceded in death by his wife Janie Varnell Harrell, Mother Anna Forbes Harrell, father Amos K. Harrell, Sr, granddaughter Alexis Harrell, brother Rudolph Harrell.
Amos is survived by his son Michael Alex Harrell of Pinetops, sister Mary Harrell Baker and husband Alvis of Macclesfield, brother William Elwood Harrell of Elm City, grandchildren Kenneth Harrell, Colby Harrell both of Fountain, sisters-in-law Sylvia Ellis of Crisp and Betty Jo Shepheard and husband Garland of Tarboro, several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Amos’ Life will be held graveside at Macclesfield Cemetery on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Billy Crabtree officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the cemetery 30 minutes before the service.
