Audrey Alford

Our angel, Audrey Alford, gained her wings on May 20, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carole and Charles Alford, her grandparents, Albert and Francis Walker, Anderson and Audrey Holt. She is survived by her brothers, Chuck and John (Leslie) Alford, nephews, Joshua (Emily), Carter and Ethan Alford, niece, Kenah (Isiah) Rowe, great-nephews Cayden Alford and Waylon Rowe and some very special cousins, Brenda (Mac) Randolph, Bob (Penny) Barnhill, Jane (Clyde) Bailey.

Audrey will always be remembered as a devout Christian and friend to all who had the pleasure of meeting her. She wouldn't hesitate to throw her arms around you and say a prayer.  She attended First Pentecostal Holiness Church for many years where she was an active member of the Women's Ministry and loved to finish Preacher Jody's sermons by saying "Jesus loves you!"

Audrey competed in the Special Olympics for a number of years and was proud of her accomplishments. In her spare time, she enjoyed listening to music or calling her friends and family just to catch up. There is no doubt that Audrey's absence will be felt by many.  In her own words, she wanted everyone to know that she is good and that she loves you all "with a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck."

A celebration of life will take place at First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Tarboro on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 11 AM. A graveside service will take place immediately following at Leigh Oaks in Conetoe. In lieu of flowers, the family would like for donations to be made to First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Audrey's honor.
