Chuck had a servant's heart that was shown through his years of service to his family, community, and nation. You either loved him or hated him as he served the town of Tarboro as an Animal Control Officer for 20 years.  He served in the National Guard Army for over 20 years and was awarded Top Gun for shooting Bradley tanks. Chuck served on the Tarboro Fire Department as a volunteer Firefighter, for a number of years and was a loyal member of the Concord Masonic Lodge 58. Chuck never knew how to sit still and was always eager to help others. He was quick to respond to any local, state, or national disaster as a member of the Southern Baptist Men’s disaster relief team. Chuck did take time out for hobbies like pier fishing and relaxing on the beach. Another passion of his was grilling/cooking for everyone and for every occasion.
