Dennis Dail Obituary

Dennis Warren Dail, 65, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, at UNC Memorial Hospital due to complications from heart transplant surgery.

Dennis was born on April 11, 1953 to Sylvanus Warren and Etta Spivey Dail.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Michael Wayne Dail.

He is survived by sisters Patty Rawls and husband, Tim of Tarboro; Mary Spivey and husband, Doug of Kelford; Faith Martin and husband, Jimmy; Denise Bell and husband, Bennie, both of Tarboro; brother, Mark, of South Berwick, Maine, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Dennis loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Mildred Missionary Baptist Church for many years. He owned a 2011 Roush Mustang and especially enjoyed driving it, washing it, and showing it off. He was a truck driver for many years and drove for several different companies in the Rocky Mount and Tarboro areas.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 28, at 2:00 p.m. at Mildred Missionary Baptist Church followed by burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 27 at Carlisle Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Bennie and Denise Bell.
