Dennis Ray Roberson

Dennis Ray Roberson, age 77, of Tarboro, North Carolina, passed away April 26, 2023. Dennis was born in Stokes, North Carolina on January 15, 1946, to the late William M. Roberson and Doris E. (Martin) Roberson.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carolyn Warren Roberson; along with two children; Renee Hudson and husband Tommy of Tarboro, North Carolina, Danielle Haddock and husband Sean of Greenville, North Carolina; three grandchildren, April Collier and husband Colton of Goldsboro, North Carolina, Joshua Hudson and wife Alexis of Tarboro, North Carolina, Gavin Haddock of Greenville, North Carolina; one great-grandchild, Barrett Collier of Goldsboro, North Carolina; two sisters, Evelyn Leggett of Hampton, Virginia, Rose Crouch of South Boston, Virginia; and many loving nieces, nephews, and relatives.

Dennis was a truck driver for over 30 years and loved traveling the country. The only thing he loved more than the freedom of trucking was his family. There wasn’t anywhere that he couldn’t tell you how to get to and he didn’t have to have a road map to do it. His girls often called him their walking atlas. Before we had GPS, they had Dennis.

The family will receive friends and family Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Carlisle Funeral Home with the service starting at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. The interment will follow the service at Edgecombe Memorial Park, Tarboro, North Carolina. At other times, the family will receive visitors at 1304 Albemarle Avenue, Tarboro North Carolina.
