Franklin Roosevelt “Fish” Wooten, 82, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro, NC.
A private graveside service for family will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at 2:00 PM in Greenwood Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
Frank was born on March 23, 1937 in Pitt County to the late James M. Wooten and Sudie Corbett Wooten. Frank was a member of Trinity Baptist Church with Jordon Willard officiating. He retired from Carolina Enterprise after many years of service.
In addition to his death, he was preceded in death by his wife Shelby Ann Rose Wooten; sisters, Mary Wooten Baker, Anna Ruth Wooten Morgan and Gladys W. Gardner; brothers, James M. “Buddy” Wooten and Amos E. Wooten.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Mary P. Wooten, of Fountain, Connie R. Strickland, of Farmville; niece Peggy Garrett and husband Albert, of Zebulon; nephews William Robert “Bobby” Baker, of St. Lewis, Gerald Wayne Baker, of Battleboro, J.W. Wooten and Danny Wooten, both of Fountain; Gene Wooten, of Pinetops, and Jim Wooten, of Fountain.
