Henry Clay Bobbitt

Henry Clay Bobbitt, age 67 of Wilson, completed his journey on earth on Monday, April 3, 2023.

He was born on September 21, 1955, the 6th of six children of Annie Lee and Albert Bobbitt. He was born in Bethel, NC and spent his younger years in Tarboro where he graduated from Tarboro High School. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his brothers.

He enjoyed football and music. He was working on becoming a surveyor before he became incapacitated. He spent the last 20 years in Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Annie Lee Bobbitt; three brothers; Fred Bobbitt, Richard Bobbitt and Pete  Bobbitt, a brother-in-law Roy Parker.

He is survived by his siblings, James Bobbitt, Jr of Plymouth and Edith Parker, brother-in-law Ben Whitehurst, nieces and nephews; Ricky Parker, LeAnne P. Butler, Fredra B.B. Knight, Melissa B. Boggs, Ginger B. Barfield, Andy Bobbitt and James Bobbitt, III. He also leaves behind two great-nieces Kalee P. Butler, Emily Bobbitt and great-nephews: Tyler Parker, Ethan Parker, Parker Butler, Calvin Barfield, Greyson Boggs, Dalton Bobbitt, Hunter Bobbitt, Austin Knight and Wesley Mitchell, one great-great-nephew Roy Horton.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Edgecombe Memorial Park with the Rev. Michael Bryan officiating.
