James Daniel Thorne

James Daniel (JD) Thorne passed away on Saturday September 05, 2020 at his home in Rocky Mount, N.C.  He was preceded in death by his parents Inez and Ronald Thorne; sisters Joanne Pendergrass and Cherry Hoggard; sister-in-law Jean Thorne and son Greg Thorne. 

JD is survived by his wife Amy Thorne; daughters Lisa (Brian) Sigurdson, Suzanne (Dylan) Anderson, Kristy (Jeremiah) Feilen; son Joey (Allyson) Parris; grandsons Caleb Anderson, Daniel Anderson and Jase Sigurdson; granddaughters Brianna Sigurdson, Taylor Sigurdson, Aubrey Parris and Brooklynn Feilen; brothers Leno and Timmy (Theresa) Thorne; sisters Blinda (John) Owens, Vicky Taylor; and good friend Larry Collie. 

JD was born in Wilson, NC and growing up enjoyed squirrel hunting and fishing.  Later in life JD was the happiest when he was surrounded by family, especially his beloved grandchildren.  JD loved his friends and family, but most of all JD loved the Lord.

A visitation service will be held at Carlisle Funeral Home at 1 pm on Monday September 07, followed by a funeral service at 2 pm.
