Pops was a man of many talents. He could build anything anybody wanted. He worked at Fountain Powerboats were he excelled. He built boats for many famous people; Michael Jordan, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Hulk Hogan. He worked on boats for the government saying he couldn’t talk about it. He was so good they sent him to California to build boats for Miami Vice and Thunder. He also worked on Andy Griffin house. Pops taught me everything I know he taught Sharon and I and always said “If you're going to do it then do it right.” I will always cherish the memories of working with Pops and my granddad Gene.
Visitation will be at 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Carlisle Funeral Home and other times at the home of Jonathan and Rachel Whitfield at 311 Van Street, Pinetops, NC 27864.
