Jose Ricardo Torres

    Jose Ricardo Torres age 57 of Edgecombe County lost his fight on this earth August 15, 2021. To claim is victory on the heavenly grounds.

   Jose was born in Cuba to the late Pedro and Josefa Torres on March 26, 1964. Moved to Florida where him and his family gained citizenship and a new life.

   Jose joined the military in 1981-1985. He then came to Virginia where he began his family. He was in the ministry and became an evangelist in 1992. Shortly after moving to North Carolina to follow God’s will. He worked the food industry for many years.  He began working at Bojangles’s which became his career. He worked diligently in raising his family, running the business and ministering.

   He leaves behind two sons and four daughters to cherish his memory: Bradley Torres (Lenora Baysdon) of Rocky Mount, Josiah Torres of Rocky Mount, Torena

James (John) of Hobgood, Rosa Torres of Rocky Mount, Kayla Bryan (John) of Opp Alabama and Kelli Hamm of Rocky Mount.

Grandchildren: Zyrieck Ricardo, Zameer, Jordan, Ryder Ricardo, Paislee, Jody, Anyzja, John, Alyssa, Ashton, Korie, Kaci, Zayden, Jimmy and Jayden.

A Celebration of Jose Life will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 2 Pm graveside, at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, NC 27534. The family will receive friends and family at Carlisle Funeral Home on Thursday night from 6 until 8 Pm.
