Joshua T. Combs, 29 passed away Friday, June 1, 2018

A memorial service will be held Monday, June 4, 2018, 11:00am, Carlisle Funeral Home, with Rev. Billy Crabtree officiating.

Joshua was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ruby and Thomas “Blue” Harrell; paternal grandparents, Charles and Edna Combs;

He is survived by his loving family, including parents, Kevin and Amy Combs;

Sister, Chelsey Combs (Brantley Atkinson);

Step-grandmother, Kay Harrell;

Aunts and Uncles, Jennie and Allen Barnhill

    Dee and Mike Waters;

Mike and Linda Combs (Uncle and Aunt).

And his fur babies, Lola and Mela

People were drawn to Josh with his infectious smile.    His humor and witty personality left everyone smiling and laughing.   To hear him laugh made everyone around him laugh.   He loved music and taught himself to play the guitar.   He taught himself how to tint vehicle windows and later vinyl wrap vehicles.   Josh was a Toyota 4-Runner enthusiast and could tell you any specification of any model of 4-Runner and converse on any level of any 4-wheel drive/off road vehicle.   His passion was to modify his 4-Runners with lifts, vinyl wrap, tint, tires and rims.  Josh was constantly bettering his 4-Runners and this was his hobby.

He also had a memory for details.  You could name any movie from any year.  He could tell you who played in the movie and what year it was released.

Children loved Josh as he was just a big kid who would get in the floor and play Legos or games with them.  He had as much fun playing as the children did.

Josh had a large circle of friends and was a friend to everyone he met but he and was a very loyal friend to those special few who hung out at the “Cabin”.  He was a loving daddy to his pit bull terriers, Lola and Mela . 

There are no words to describe the void this sparkling personality has left in our lives but he will forever remain our shining star. He was an old soul that left this world too soon..

Family will receive friends at Carlisle Funeral Home, Sunday from 6:00 – 8:00pm and other times at the home of Allen and Jennie Barnhill, 407 Barrington Dr., Tarboro, NC
