Leslie Madison Fisher

Madison Fisher, Jr, 84 passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at his home with his family at his side.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Tarboro, 3:00 pm with Pastor Lamont Hemminger officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, Nashville, N. C.

Madison was born in Nash County to Leslie M. Fisher and Beula Walker Fisher. In addition to his parents Madison was preceded by his son, Leslie Madison Fisher, III. He retired from North Carolina Department of Corrections after many years of service. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Tarboro and Golden K. Club, Tarboro for many years. He enjoyed life, family, and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 39 years, Shirley Fisher; daughter, Robin Fisher Jordan and husband, Michael; stepsons, Carl Payne and wife, Ann, Dr. Kevin Payne and wife, Kim; stepdaughter, Donna Payne Coleman and husband, Wayne; grandson, Jimmy Norris; step grandchildren, Michael, Michelle, Matt, Brianna, Tanner, Tyler, and Taylor; great grandchildren, Kayden, Brayden, Zac, Ella, Berkeley, Shoal, Beau, Charlotte Ann and Marley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to The Ramp Ministry, First Baptist Church, Tarboro, N. C.

 Family will receive friends at First Baptist Church Saturday, August 21, 2021, from 2:00 – 3:00 pm and other times at the home, 3118 Westchester Dr., Tarboro, N. C.
