Born July 29, 1970 passed away February 18, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was truly a brave beautiful woman and she gave it her all to stay here for her family but the cancer finally took her from us. Born July 29, 1970 passed away February 18, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was truly a brave beautiful woman and she gave it her all to stay here for her family but the cancer finally took her from us. Leta loved the beach in the summertime and loved sitting outside around a fire in the fall. Her laughter and that brilliant smile of hers will be missed by many. She loved her boys, Eric, Tristan, Will and their dog Opie and she would do whatever she could to help them in this journey called life. Please remember her as she was a vibrant soul that loved and laughed and enjoyed her brief life here with all of us.

She was predeceased by her parents Sharon Grimes Bass and Lee Franklin Coffee.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Eric, her son Tristan (fiancé Lynnlee), and her son Will Krenson. Also her step father Rick Bass, sister Brandi Coffee, her mother in-law and father in-law Sandra and Lionel Bateman . Lionel Bateman III (Sara), David Bateman (Jennifer) and Tara Bateman. Nieces, Hannah Monroe and Scarlett Bateman and Nephews Noah and Corey Jack Bateman and Michael Clark (fiancé Jada). Her family will miss her each and every day of their lives. The family thanks you all for the prayers, love and kindness you have shown to Leta and her family.

There will be no service at this time but the family hopes you will join them in the spring for a celebration of Leta’s life somewhere in Tarboro. We hope to have it outside where we can all join together to celebrate this beautiful lady and do it safely with masks and social distancing.
