It is with great sadness that the family of Linwood Roland Lewis announces his sudden passing on October 30, 2020, at the age of 42. Linwood “Lin” was born April 16, 1978 in Tarboro, North Carolina. He is survived by his wife, Janelle, his three daughters, Makayla, Amber, and Aubrey, his father, Herbert Lewis Jr., his step-father and mother, Aubrey and Kathy Edmonds, his brother, Herbert Lewis III and family, sister, Tina Lewis Cavaliere and family, grandmother, Alice Watson, and many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly. Linwood was preceded in death by his step-brother, Gene Edmonds, and his grandparents Emily Joyner, Linwood Watson, and Herbert Lewis Sr.
Linwood was hard-working. He could fix almost anything in a day just by learning it once. He adored his beautiful daughters and loved his dogs, especially his loyal companion, Jake, and grand-dogs Abbigail and Ruby. Linwood was passionate about fishing and he loved music, his truck, sitting around the fire pit with his family, and cooking dinner on the grill.
The family will receive friends and family at Carlisle Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 from 12 Pm until 1:30 Pm before the graveside service.
A Celebration of Lin’s life will be held grave-side on Wednesday, November 4, at 2 pm at the Wooten Family Cemetery, Sharpe Point Road. Crisp , NC with the Rev. Keith Cobb officiating.
