Reverend Mamie Iola Wilson, 81, died Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Waterbrooke Assited Living in Elizabeth City, NC.
Funeral service will held Sunday, November 29, 2020 at 2:30 pm, Tarboro Church of God with Pastor Sammy Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park, Tarboro, NC.
Mamie was born in Edgecombe County to Richard A. and Kathleen Rivenbark Wilson on July 17, 1939.
She attended and graduated from Tarboro High School in 1957. She became an ordained minister in The Church of God Ministries and served for over 55 years. She loved and served The Lord, ministering the Word of God in foreign countries and throughout the United States. She made many trips to the Holy Land in Israel. Mamie was loved by many people and she loved people and loved preaching the Word of God and bringing them to the knowledge of The Lord. The Lord blessed her and used her to save those souls and she was thankful for those blessing. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Mamie was preceded in death by her siblings, Ebert Wilson, Bill Wilson, and Bernice Jones.
She is survived by her loving family, including special sisters, Debra Sherrod and her husband, Larry, Yvonne Lewis, special brother, Reverend Mike Wilson and his wife Ann, and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Tarboro Church of God, Sunday, November 29, 2020 from 1:30 – 2:30 pm.
