Hattie Ruth Wainwright Proctor Bridgers, age 86, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 28, 2021.

She was born in Greene County, NC to the late Charlie Payton Wainwright and Maggie Baker Wainwright on January 9, 1935.

A Celebration of Ruth’s life will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Carlisle Funeral Home with the Reverend Ronnie Clemmons officiating. The interment will follow in the Edgecombe Memorial Park.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Linwood Proctor, Sr., daughter Gail Proctor Moore, a grandson and 2 great-grandbabies Aaron and Jessica (who are resting at her headstone to forever be watched over), and numerous brothers and sisters.

She left to cherish her memories a loving family which includes her husband Billy Bridgers, children Linda Proctor, Albert Proctor and wife Ann, Michael Proctor and wife Brenda, Delores Proctor, Randy Proctor, Billy Ray Bridgers and wife Pam, Rickie Bridgers and wife Molly, 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, brother Charlie Wainwright, Jr., sister Shirley Johnson and numerous other family members.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

The family will receive friends at Carlisle Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 PM and other times at the home of Delores Proctor, 605 Forest Acres Drive, Tarboro, NC.
