Sherwood "Dean" Webb

Sherwood “Dean” Webb, age 83, passed away at his home surrounded by loving family on Monday, March 29, 2021.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 2, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Carlisle Funeral Home.

Dean was a farmer for most of his life. He was a great provider for his family and a loving grandfather to all his grandkids.

Dean was born in Edgecombe County on November 19, 1937 to the late Roy W Webb and Kitty “Kit”  C Webb. He was preceded in death by his wife Clara Lynette Webb after 63 years of marriage and also his brother Kenneth “Cole” Webb of Fayetteville, North Carolina.

He is survived by his daughters Joyce Braxton and significant other Keith, Vickie Cummings and husband Mike both of Macclesfield, son Sherwood Webb Jr and wife Sonya of Pinetops, grandchildren: Tracy Guldseth and husband Brandon, Eddie Dean Braxton Jr and wife Kristin, Michael Cummings and wife Savanna, Colby Cummings and significant other Rhonda, Sarah W. Williford and husband Callie, Rachel W. Ellis and husband Brandon, Seth L. Webb and wife Allison, great-grandchildren: Delaney Guldseth,  Jason Guldseth,  Ella Guldseth, Emory Braxton, Grady Braxton, and Hannah Williford. His loving caretakers Penny Walston, Melvin Harrell, Amy McLawhorn and Mary Roland Edmondson.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday April 1, 2021 at Carlisle Funeral Home and other times at the home of Dean and Lynn Webb, 4217 NC 122 S., Pinetops, North Carolina.
